Day 1: Dar Es Salaam to Nyerere National Park (Sunset Boat Safari)
Program Of the Day: Your safari begins with an early morning pick-up from your hotel or airport in Dar es Salaam.
You’ll travel southward in a comfortable 4×4 safari vehicle, journeying through local villages and scenic countryside (approx. 4-5 hours). Upon arrival at your safari lodge near the Rufiji River, you’ll settle in and enjoy lunch and some time to relax.
In the late afternoon, you’ll embark on a sunset boat safari along the Rufiji River, a magical introduction to Nyerere’s water-based wildlife. You’ll glide past pods of hippos, basking crocodiles, and flocks of colorful birds, while elephants and giraffes often make appearances at the water’s edge.

Day 2: Full-Day Game Drive in Nyerere National Park
Program Of the Day: After an early breakfast, you’ll set off for a full-day game drive into the heart of Nyerere National Park. Renowned for its raw, untouched beauty, Nyerere is home to diverse wildlife, including elephants, lions, leopards, wild dogs, buffalo, kudu, and countless bird species. You’ll explore the park’s vast woodlands, open plains, and hidden lakes, with a picnic lunch served in a shaded scenic spot. Your expert guide will help track animals and interpret their behaviors, offering insights into the complex ecosystems of this UNESCO-listed wilderness.
You’ll return to the lodge at sunset for dinner and a restful evening.

After the visit, you’ll begin your return journey to Dar es Salaam, arriving in the late afternoon in time for your international flight or onward travel plans.
