Tarangire National Park

Overview

Tarangire Safari

Often described as one of Tanzania’s hidden gems, Tarangire National Park offers a quieter, more authentic safari experience compared to its famous neighbors like Serengeti National Park and Ngorongoro Conservation Area.

Located in northern Tanzania, Tarangire is best known for its giant baobab trees, vast savannah landscapes, and the life-giving Tarangire River, which attracts large numbers of animals—especially during the dry season.

The park hosts an impressive variety of wildlife including elephants, lions, leopards, giraffes, zebras, wildebeest, and rare species like fringe-eared oryx and gerenuk. With fewer crowds and rich wildlife density, Tarangire is perfect for travelers seeking a more peaceful safari.
