Why Visit

Ngorongoro Crater Safari

The Ngorongoro Conservation Area is one of Africa’s most breathtaking safari destinations, centered around the world-famous Ngorongoro Crater (massive) unbroken volcanic caldera often referred to as “Africa’s Garden of Eden.”

Formed millions of years ago after a giant volcano collapsed, the crater now shelters an incredibly dense population of wildlife within its natural walls. Covering about 260 square kilometers, it offers one of the easiest and most rewarding safari experiences in Tanzania.

Inside the crater, you’ll find open grasslands, acacia forests, swamps, and soda lakes—all packed with wildlife. Because animals rarely migrate out of the crater, game viewing is excellent year-round.

Expect a high concentration of animals in a relatively small area, making it perfect for first-time safari travelers or those with limited time.
